Musician in the open air

Another early music expert took time to pose for me in the open air in Central London. She plays a baroque Cello and Viola Da Gamba. The differences are that the instruments are held with the knees and there is no spike. The bow is convex not concave and she holds it differently. The head of the instrument is ornately carved in this case it looks like the sort of figure that might appear on the prow of a ship.
