Is summer really over?

Something about the summer is nostalgic, harking back to childhood. Being a children’s photographer gives me that feeling anyway. There’s such freedom in being able to run on the beach in bare feet, lie in the grass and play amongst the long grasses and plants in the hedgerows.
I didn’t have a younger sister but I often used to wish I had. Teaching a younger sibling important things like how to make a daisy chain is the essence of summer holidays and looks back to a world I thought might have gone.
Thank goodness it hasn’t altogether vanished.
